Director M4800D with Dante

Description

8-Channel DSP Matrix Amplifier

AudioControl Director® M Series amplifiers are among the highest-powered, most flexible multi-zone amplifiers worldwide, designed exclusively for commercial and residential custom integrators. In the most demanding applications for all system amplification and IP programmable signal processing tasks, the Director® M Series Model M4800D has the power and flexibility to operate as a standalone DSP amplifier or partnered with 3rd party over-control systems from companies such as Control4, Crestron, RTI and Savant. Configure graphic and parametric equalization, crossover points, volume settings, zone grouping, network monitoring, and more using the onboard DSP.

The Director® M Series Model M4800D adds Dante input/output matrixing and system integration with additional M4800D and AudioControl CM series amplifiers. Using the Dante Controller, physical M4800D inputs become virtual sources that are available to other Dante devices with input/amplification capabilities. Dante Controller may be used to route Dante sources from any device, making them accessible from the input selection menu and/or an automation system.

8CH, 100-watt channels into 8 Ohms become 200 watts per channel with 4-Ohm loudspeaker loads. When two channels bridge outputs, that single channel produces 400 watts into 8 Ohms, more than enough power for even the most demanding loudspeaker configurations. Two digital input busses selectable between Coaxial and TOSLINK with Coaxial outputs may be matrixed, along with every analog zone input to any zone or all zone outputs. Built-in speaker profiles from AudioControl’s Sound Partners™ program members offer M Series DSP-optimized tonally balanced speaker calibrations from a growing list of prominent loudspeaker manufacturers.

Discover for yourself the countless critical ways in which AudioControl Director® M Series amplifiers, designed, engineered, and manufactured in Seattle, USA, contribute to successful commercial or residential systems.

Two digital inputs and outputs are both accessible in the matrixing so that any one of the input sources can be routed through the digital outputs. These digital outputs can be connected to other CM Series, The Director M or D Series or Architect digital inputs so that multiple amplifiers can receive any signal from any of the inputs.

AudioControl has partnered with a growing number of prominent architectural loudspeaker manufacturers to implement speaker performance profiles directly accessible from The Director® D Series onboard DSP. Each speaker manufacturer has provided critical performance data to AudioControl, enabling tailored profiles to be created and stored in software form. Factoring in the individual room acoustics for each home, these speaker profiles achieve an important step in providing the custom integrator the tools to deliver a premium entertainment experience by calibrating systems for their clients.
