150M 4K HDMI Extender Kit

Description

The AC-EX150-BKT is an AVPro Edge benchmark long-distance HDMI extender.

Game-changing at 150 meters for 1080p, it overcomes infrastructure obstacles, including dated anti-skew wiring. Underrated Category 5e wire commonly found in retro scenarios and signal-disruptive splices, couplers, or punch-down blocks are no match for the AC-EX150-BKT, as it will also transport 18 Gbps, 4K/30 fps HDMI 2.0 signals flawlessly for 100 meters.

Retrofit site surveys often reveal havoc-causing infrastructure or proposal-ending wire types. Never pass on retro opportunities again with the AC-EX150-BKT. Project Impossible turns into Project Profitable. If on-site analysis confirms signal continuity with Cat 5e (or better) cabling, the AC-EX150-BKT will deliver up to a 4K UHD image, accurately and artifact-free, to TVs or projectors at extended Category wire transmission distances now up to 100 meters, and a 1080p signal up to 150 meters.

AVPro Edge mainstay multi-tool features help to augment the AC-EX150-BKT’s retrofit capabilities. These include EDID management, updated robust CEC capabilities, 4K to 1080p downscaling, kit PoH from a single PSU, and bi-directional RS-232 and IR control.

Make retrofitting retro-cool with the AVPro Edge AC-EX150-BKT.

Application Note: The AC-EX150-KIT must only be used with the included proprietary power supply. While similar in appearance to other AVPro Edge PSUs, voltage and amperage are specific to the AC-EX150-KIT and are required for successful kit operation.

Overcome HDMI signal delivery challenges – The revolutionary AC-EX150-BKT enables successful HDMI signal transmission over otherwise impossible infrastructure obstacles. When transmit/receive signal extension kits became available, skew-free AV UTP cabling was required. From its appearance, this wire is easily mistaken for a Category network cable. When early HDMI cables replaced outdated kits, this wire was commonly repurposed for control or IR use. As bandwidth requirements intensified and HDMI 1.4 cables proved incompatible, updated extension kit features enabled all required functionality to be accomplished with a single Category wire. However, skew-free UTP is incompatible with current HDMI devices – except for the AC-EX150-BKT. Specifically engineered for installations with any 8-conductor legacy Category wire, the AC-EX150-BKT enables commercial and residential integrators to deliver 1080p up to 150 meters and 4K UHD content up to 100 meters to retro-prohibitive, conduit-lacking locations.

Early flat panels in fireplace settings with antiquated HDMI 1.4 cables and a Category wire for IR control or similarly wired inaccessible first-generation digital projector locations are examples of where the AC-EX150-BKT can deliver 4K/30 fps up to a 100-meter distance, including Dolby Vision and HDR10. If a category wire successfully tones out for continuity end-to-end, despite signal path splices, inline couplers, or punch-down blocks, it can be used by the AC-EX150-BKT.

150-meter, long-distance capability – The 150-meter range for 1080p is supported using legacy Cat5e, which first became available in 2001, and newer category designations. Up to 100 meters is possible over Cat 5e for 4K UHD signals.

EDID Management - As displays become more complex, the demands on the EDID negotiation process intensify. Configurable EDID management provides stable signal delivery for trouble-free system operation.

4K Downscaling to 1080p - Cost-conscious retrofit projects often require the retention of legacy displays. An inability to scale distributed images to match all displays forces the entire system to match the lowest scan rate. Per-display scan rate matching provides the best image available to each display in a system.

AVPro Edge Image Compression Technology – In a challenging infrastructure environment, simply delivering a workable signal to a display is inadequate.

Picture fidelity is paramount. The AC-EX150-BKT with AVPro Edge ICT provides a clear, artifact-free image identical to the source.

Bi-directional RS-232, IR Control – The AC-EX150-BKT features full bi-directional pass-through for RS-232 and IR control signals.
